Penny is the Founder and CEO of ICE Engineering Solutions, LLC, a newly established company in the Plastics and Manufacturing Industry, built on a foundation of extensive manufacturing expertise, innovative solutions, and a strong commitment to excellence throughout supply chain operations.. With over 16 years in the beverage industry, Penny founded ICE Engineering in 2024, aiming to revolutionize supply chain management and the approach to sustainability across the Plastic Packaging market.
A passionate advocate for sustainability, innovation and all things plastic packaging, Penny actively leads initiatives to light weight and enhance continuous improvement across packaging in the beverage industry.
Before founding ICE Engineering, Penny held leadership roles at Coca-Cola Bottlers’ Sales and Services (CCBSS) where she led strategic sourcing and procurement for North American beverage closures. In her 16 years with Coca-Cola, Penny has held progressive leadership roles within plant management and supply chain operations. She has worked across multiple bottling platforms, supporting end to end supply chain operations, functioning as a change agent. In her most recent role, Penny was responsible for: procurement sourcing and strategy, contractual negotiations, supply continuity, supplier relationships and delivering value propositions for all plastic, metal and specialty closures.
Prior to Coca-Cola, Penny worked at Cummins Power Generation and Ford Motor Company. At Ford, she held progressive leadership roles in Engineering and Maintenance. Penny has led and managed various teams across all areas of assembly, paint and body construction on multiple product lines across N.A. During her time at Ford, she led development and implementation of rebalance initiatives across multiple sites to harvest value creations while fostering a collaborative relationship with the UAW Leadership.
Penny holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering from North Dakota State University, a Masters of Arts in Business from The College of St. Catherine and a Masters in Engineering Automation, Manufacturing and Controls from Case Western Reserve University. Penny is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Emily Tipaldo is a team member of ICE Engineering Solutions LLC. She is a proven leader and advocate for pragmatic, multi-stakeholder solutions to sustainability challenges. Emily is adept at implementing sustainability commitments and requirements, as well as communicating technical content to a variety of audiences.
Before joining ICE Engineering Solutions, Emily led the U.S. Plastics Pact as Executive Director. As lead of the U.S. Pact Emily built a cross sectoral nonprofit committed to developing and executing a circular economy for plastics packaging in the U.S. As part of the U.S. Pact requirements, over 80 corporate signatories, and over 20 nonprofit signatories reported annually on their progress toward the organization’s mission. The U.S. Pact, representing nearly a third of the U.S. plastics packaging market, is the only voluntary organization with an annual reporting requirement. During her tenure with the U.S. Pact Emily was named Waste 360’s 40 Under 40, and a Plastics News Sustainability Leader (2023).•Emily has experience leading and managing projects as part of Stina Inc. (formerly More Recycling).
Emily spent nearly ten years with the American Chemistry Council (ACC), spending the bulk of her time as Director, Packaging and Consumer Products, Plastics Division. While with ACC she was named an Edison Awards Women Behind Innovation (2017), and Plastics News Rising Star (2015). While with the ACC Emily honed her advocacy and regulatory engagement skills (state, federal, and international).
Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Mary Washington, a Masters of Arts in International Relations from the University of Westminster, London.
Jay spent over 30 years of experience at The Coca-Cola Company in various roles in Operations, Logistics, and Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability. Prior to retiring he served as the VP of QEHSS for the North America Supply Chain. Prior to that role he served as Plant Manager of two plant turn arounds, Regional Logistics and Warehouse Director for the West and as Capability Director leading the North America management development program.
As VP of QEHSS he developed and executed a comprehensive Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (QEHSS) strategy across 60+ Company owned and Co-Manufacturing operations in the US and Canada. Delivered 100+ innovation and new line commissioning's annually while delivering world class business results. Under his leadership The Company commissioned the first Low Acid Aseptic plant-based line for North America supply chain as well as the first non-preserved/ non- heat-treated product.
Recently he served as the Quality Technical advisor as a fractional consultant for Cumulus Coffee company. Commissioning and starting up a one of kind low acid canning line with proprietary packaging and processing systems. Jay is passionate about leveraging current systems and technical knowledge to achieve break through results. His ability to drive sustainability in existing infrastructure by challenging existing industry norms is what drives his curiosity and commitment to be able to do more with less the right way.
He holds a BS in Safety Science from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts in Management from Redlands University. His vast expertise covers the following areas:

Tom Maxwell is a highly accomplished Senior Global Manufacturing Executive/ Consultant and advisor to executives, and decision makers within privately and publicly held Fortune 500 automotive, specialty manufacturing, OEM and defense organizations. He leverages a professorial knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques as well as expertise in tactical planning, cost controls, Six Sigma, inventory control, vendor management, process development, and overall operational excellence. He seeks to work with companies in the
Automotive and Defense sectors, or other manufacturing industries, medium to large size, that have competitive or growth challenges to overcome.
Tom is currently President of TFMaxwell Consulting LLC, a company he launched in 2014 to leverage his considerable expertise in specialty manufacturing and engineering, manufacturing processes, productivity improvement and strategic planning. His clients include the Department of Defense, automotive, and metal products industries. Major efforts include redesign of BAE’s manufacturing processes in Louisville, KY, and development of the JLTV manufacturing system for Lockheed Martin. These engagements were preceded by a successful five-year tenure as Director of Manufacturing with BAE Systems at their Sealy, Texas site and 19 years as a high-performance Manager with the Ford Motor Company.
Tom was key to a major turnaround for BAE in Sealy, converting an operating loss to profitability while exceeding the target program return rate on $2.3B of annual sales volume within three years on a contract to provide tactical wheeled vehicles for military applications. Recruited to oversee manufacturing and resolve production issues, he reorganized and streamlined the Operations workforce while reducing inventory levels and improving accuracy. This included increasing site output capability 43% with lean manufacturing techniques while reducing assembly labor by 25%.
Tom honed his operations management expertise during two decades with Ford, where he led
global industrial engineering process standardization practices. Achievements included the launch of the 2004 Ford F150 Truck Program (establishing a three plant production capacity of 750,000 annually); execution of a $290M product introduction and model changeover for General Motors’ L-Car programs; and numerous efficiency and process improvement initiatives.
Tom began his role as a manufacturing consultant in 2014 and served in an advisory capacity to the Business & Industry Association of New Hampshire, and the state’s Workforce Development Team. He has served as lead on the production advisory board to Lockheed Martin for the JLTV Program in 2014, and continues manufacturing consulting work serving multiple DoD companies. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1971 and earned an MBA in Business from Fairleigh Dickinson
University’s Florham Campus in 1976.
Alanna has over 27 years experience in manufacturing environments, 24 of those years in a variety of leadership and management roles with Coca-Cola in syrup, concentrate and flavor manufacturing. Over her career at Coca-Cola, she held positions with increasing responsibility including management across several sites. Her experience includes supply chain compliance with import and export laws, USMCA (formally NAFTA), customs sampling and inspection. In addition, she is experienced with line commissioning and new product/process introduction and management of change process.
Experienced in implementation of management systems (GFSI: FSSC 22000, ISO, SQF and BRC), Alanna has implemented ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, National Organic Program and SQF into facilities varying in size and complexity of processes and supply chain. In addition, Alanna has been conducting audits for over 25 years including supplier audits, gap assessments, pre-AIB GMP audits, regulatory readiness audits (FDA and USDA), customer requirement audits at co-manufacturing facilities.
Building relationships is one of Alanna’s strengths, confident in her technical knowledge she is approachable and relatable to plant floor and front-line associates which aids her ability to develop strategies in assessing risk, continuous improvement and compliance in food safety and quality.
Prior to Coca-Cola, Alanna worked in the polymer coatings and chemical industries. She is experienced in handling hazardous materials, conducting risk assessments, developing project plans and data analysis. Alanna has a strong background in analytical chemistry and experienced in good laboratory practices and laboratory management. Alanna has a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from Georgia State University and holds the following certifications:

With over a decade in Innovation and R&D in the packaging industry, Jayme has extensive experience with flexible packaging, bag-in-box, and aluminum beverage packaging.
A leader in front-end innovation, Jayme led the Future Packaging group at Coca-Cola. Using the principles of strategic foresight, she identified the trends and technologies that will shape the packaging of tomorrow.
At Coca-Cola North America, Jayme led development and commercialization for bag-in-box packaging, aluminum bottle and closure, and Prop 65 BPA-NI compliance for all metal packaging components.
Before Coca-Cola, Jayme led the Innovation & Research team at Printpack, a major flexible packaging supplier, where she explored and developed new to the industry technology including E-Beam flexographic printing, digital/flexo hybrid printing, augmented reality for flexible packaging, and barrier paper technology for food packaging.
Jayme has also served as president and a board member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals Southeastern Chapter, and she holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and a BA in English Literature from Agnes Scott College.
